Protected M O T

Featured Replies

When I bought Ambrosia I took out a servicing Plan

2nd and 3rd year services and 2 Protected MOT's

" What exactly is a Protected MOT "

all in :- £149:99

Bargain or what?

I guess that means the fix it if it fails on any MIT items??

They do the service and then put it through the MOT. If they do the service correctly, it should pass shouldn't it?

I always put the value of the 'protected MOT' bit at £0 unless all parts/labour are included.

If they find a broken spring at the service, then wouldn't that be covered by warranty?

The Second protected MOT will be when the car is 4, so no warranty.

I guess this is to cover things that are not warranty items, but can fail MOTs, such as tyres, brakes and bulbs?

The devil's in the details. If they found a broken spring out of warranty, who pays for the part and labour?
