ABS warning light on after ball joint job

Featured Replies

hi folks, had to get a front nearside ball joint replaced after my nct{mot} when i got the car back driving out of the mechanics the brakes felt like they where not going to stop the car[heavy pulsing but not stopping the car} then the abs and yellow triangle lights came on . went back into him to sort it , he has the car 2 days now he replaced the abs sensor but its still happening. he has knocked off the lights with the equipment he has but they come back on straight away when its driven. he says the 2 sensors are coming up as faulty now.anyone come up against this before? is it possible he done some damage knocking out the balljoint? any advice would be much apriciated. thanks.

My first thoughts were of a damaged electic connector or rotor ring on the NSF wheel, as a result of the ball joint replacement.

It's also common to see broken wires if the sensor wasn't unplugged

He put a new sensor on but still popping up as a fault.

Cracked ring me thinks.

iirc it has to go in the correct tdc, just pushing it in isn't good enough, you may find by rotating it the light will go out.
