Octavia VRS estate newbie

Featured Replies

Just saying hello. Have bought a 2010 Octavia VRS 2.0 TDI with DSG. Better in just about every measurable way than the Audi A4 Avant S Line it replaced except arguably aesthetics. Fast, practical and surprisingly refined. I'm pretty impressed.

Welcome to Brisky.

Are the aesthetic you talk about , internal or external ?, I personally find the internal layout / aesthetics of my Skoda simple & easy to use.

External. I thought the Audi was pretty handsome from most angles, especially with the lower suspension the S Line pack brought. The standard ride height of the VRS makes the 18'' alloys look a little small IMO. Also, the chrome grill stands out a little for my tastes. All relatively easily remedied, I'm sure, but don't have the time, money or inclination to modify my car. At the end of the day it's a fast, practical, economical estate, not a sports car! Much better than the A6's I was looking at for similar money...

Internally, everything's pretty spot on. I like the VRS seats and the touch screen stereo.
