Fabia vrs 2004 oil pressure q...

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm after some advice please.

I have only owned my fabia for around two weeks, all touchwood has been fine so far however the last two days i have had the red flashing oil light come up on the dash with three loud beeps.

After reading through old threads I now know that this means oil pressure. (At the time I just assumed it meant top up oil, which i checked and is fine)

As soon as i start the ignition the light disappears and stays off, and the car seems to be driving 100% mechanically fine, pulls really well etc.

My local garage can't fit me in till next week now and i need my car for work, and was ment to be going mod nats this weekend :(

What do people think? Should i stop driving it? Any advice what so ever would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Could be a faulty sensor, what pressure is your oil pressure gauge reading when it's beeping?

Small update...

Used car 3 times yesterday and was fine every single time so seems very hit and miss.

on idle, sat in traffic etc the pressure is around 2 bar, On acceleration driving its climbing to around 5. Does this sound normal??
