  • Nothing wrong? Well, apart from accident damage, what about the long list of "issues" that have appeared over the years (well, it feels like years)? Ray

  • Have you looked at Parkers for a valuation or Glass' Guide? Realistically, and i don't want to upset you, but rather manage your expectaions.....you will never get £12k for it in a million years. Au

Wayne, purely for financial reasons, I'd keep hold of it. As mentioned in a few posts, selling so soon after you bought the car is basically financial suicide. If you don't NEED to sell, don't. Yes,

You thinking about a nice E class instead?

Didn't it take you ages to source this one??? I thought you loved it?

Maybe when I retire ...

Yes.

Did take me a while to find, and I do love her!

But I missed the petrol.

Always wanted a petrol, the diesel move was purely a financial move.

The Audi (courtesy car) has shown me what I missed :-(

Wayne, you've been blinded by the Audi :wonder:

As a thought, and mainly because you've got on so well with Audrey, would a bit of tweaking not be another option rather than selling up and having to source another car again? A bit of extra grunt and still good on the fuel!

Good luck whatever you do with her................ I suppose if you did get another car you could always try and beat your "Found my car..." thread

Cheers.

Yes - i could start another "Found my car..." Thread....

...but it may not be a Skoda :-(

The 1.8 TSI Superb was what I wanted.

But was put off by the mpg / tax etc

Still nothing comes close to the Superb in terms of value for money and the leg space in the back!

The twin door still puts a smile on me every time i use it.

But dont worry, no Audi for me.

I will think about it next few days.

And even if i put Audrey up for sale, she might not sell and then

i ll take that as a sign from the powers to be and keep her!

Did think about tweaking her, but advised not recommended when i still have 2 years warranty on her?

Besides, there is no way u can tweak a diesel to run like a petrol :-(

Only skipped through the thread and obviously missed the extended warranty bit, seen it now.

Somebody buy it off him PLEASE !!!!!!!!

I think you should put it up for £9000

Seriously, though, I'm shocked your selling it since you seemed to be over the moon with it when you bought it.

However, I do understand what your saying regarding wanting a petrol engine. I changed from the Scooby to the Audi A4 derv and it really was a completely different kettle of fish (even with the remap).

What you looking at getting next? Would you consider the Superb in petrol form or do you want something completely different?

LOL

u know i cant let it go for £9000!

Did u make an offer to the lovely Superb recently went on sale in the FOR SALE section?

If that Superb dont sell, then no chance my Audrey will sell :-(

Will love a 1.8 TSI DSG but in 4x4 and converted to LPG.

Such a car would be impossible to find compared to finding Audrey.

I think coming from a Subaru 3000cc 4x4 LPG was a big change for me.

I did look at the Superb V6 4x4 then nearly fell over backwards at the running cost figures - eeeek!

The other option is to PX for a Superb 1.8 TSI DSG 4x4 but only in SE guise at £14k now selling at Skoda?

Where is my bunting....it draws the crowds!!

I'd remove the "(bank staff)" from the ad as well....hardly a ringing endorsement of integrity!

Bunting?

Ref. Bank Staff - i am just a sucker for honesty.

But the 72k can only be explained that it used to be a company car.

Full Skoda service history too due to (cough)(cough) bank (cough) staff (cough)(cough) :-)

Lol

I know that!

Wot if i include free bbq organic 100% british beef (no horsemeat guarantee) sauages on the day?

£9002.98?

Edited by jinxgj

I was joking with the £9,000 price tag - seriously, you should be getting around £11,000 for your car I'd say having seen others on the market.

Blackhorse cars are indeed Lloyds Bank's company cars - so like Chan said, they will have had full service history and looked after in a mechanical sense anyway.

Good luck selling it as she is a beauty.

£9002.98?

Has the bidding started?

I'll come in at £9002.99 and a chocolate bar of your choosing.

I like to bid at £9003.01 with a choc bar of "my" choosing if thats ok?

Black Horse are a commercial leasing company like all the others - they just happen to be owned by Lloyds Bank.

god sake Wayne, you've not had it long, if you do sell someone will be getting a nice car
