Fabia automatic

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Long time since I've lurked in this section, but I'm after a little help advice.

My uncle is looking at the Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v automatic elegance. The car is a 2004 plate with 40k on the clock. Fsh very tidy and clean. Dealer wants £3000 is that too much?

Had a quick look about and there are cheaper but with double or more mileage.

Sounds about right to me Mike

i'd expect 1.4 automatics to be cheap - especially ones which are nearly 10 years old - however with only 40k on the clock the price looks reasonable.

I'd ask that a full service was included in that as 4k a year makes me think (no offence to your uncle) it previously had an elderly previous owner meaning short trips and potentially high wear to consumables

Cheers.

Ive the same line of thought, its a 1 owner car from new so probably an older person. My uncle just wants a safe reliable little hatch to pot about in and pick up the grandchildren etc.

Dealer states full service history. I've pointed out a few common fabia issues and said to knock more money off if the cambelts not been done recently.
