Stage 1

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a stock 2003 Octi vrs, with 130k and a fat book of stamps. I have been thinking of remapping it but am also interested in going stage 1.

Keeping in mind that it is still stock, what will i need to do to get there? Is it just a remap or will i need bolt ons too?

Stage one remap is stand alone. Should gain you anywhere from 20-50bhp.

I just had a stage 1 remap on my Octy vrs with 128k at Rtech (which I highly recommend), and that produced 209bhp,225lb of torque. Feels like a totally different car. However, my clutch started slipping when Nick at Rtech put on 250lb of torque. My car is totally standard, no aftermarket dump valve, air filter etc, and Nick says the standard dump valve and air filter box are more than good enough. However a decat would help with figures and spool the turbo up quicker as Nick suggested, so if I were you, I would fit a decat and get yours booked in :-)
