Thinking of buying, a couple of questions

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm thinking of getting a 1.9 Tdi Elegance as my next company car and have a couple of questions, if you don't mind?

Has anyone got the 'solar sun roof'? If you have is it any good, does it keep the car warm & cool depending on season?

Secondly I read somewhere on here that it is possible to get a heated front windscreen, but cannot find it in any official Skoda material. Is this avaliable on a UK spec car, if not anyone know why not?

Thanks in advance,

Martin

Hi, think l read that the heated windscreen would be coming in as an option for the 2006 model yr cars   , but l could be wrong

My car has the solar sunroof. In recent weather, the fan certainly is working hard with the ignition off. I dont know how effective it is, as I cant switch it off to compare. Also, as I only got the car 2 months ago, I dont know how it works in the winter.

I still think its a great feature :)

So what is the Solar sun roof all about then? and why is it different?

Excuse my ignorance on this as I am relatively new to Skoda as well.

solar sun roof runs the fan i guess to stop the battery going low, during a hot day so when u come back to the car it will "supposably" be cool and ready for you to set off comfortably:) other than that i think thats all it does ...and maybe makes ur car sound special! :P

Dad's superb has it.... it runs air-con via solar power from the sunroof. Very effective!
