going to be ordering a new monte over the weekend, unfortunately there are no red monte techs left in the system.

my question is what extras should i go for

You can not add extras only red or white as no red left white only. I don't think you can order spare wheel either

the better half wont have a white one, so going to go for a standard monte.

deffo going to go for the spare wheel though.

Ours is fairly standard but we have got cruise, ESP+ with hill hold & TPM, plus headlight washers, all of which has proved useful, particularly on the very recent run to Europe.

From our own personal experience comparing with a previous Elegance spec, then things like climate control and maxidot don't offer any real advantage over the standard systems other than maybe looks. Also found the armrest got in the way on the previous car so didn't bother with that either.

Shame your other half doesn't like the white, great colour for the car and we regularly get people commenting positively on ours.

Oh and you didn't mention engine choice, again a personal thing but for me anyway the TSI 86 seems to work better with a 5 speed box than the TSI 105, which really needs six or DSG.

105 Diesel? The better choice IMHO. Spare wheel is always a must for me, and rear electric windows. Other than that I have rear parking sensors, but only 'cos I got them thrown in with the deal.

BTW, Silver's a good colour too.

The Silver colour is the fastest colour. (less paint)

I think it shows off the Monte better.
