Anyone here got REAR heated seats?!

Featured Replies

Just been reading the thread on changing to a fl climatronic and cos mine has heated seats thought I'd have a look in the fl manual to see how their controlled as it's not a dial like the pre-fl, and I noticed that on page 73 the jumbo box has switches for REAR heated seats on it!

Is this standard on some models, or is it another thing just the Scandinavians and likewise get??

*tried posting a pic, but it won't let me*

Coo, that's an expensive option unless you've got a family I suppose.

Post 10 has a pic of the buttons at least...

It'd look snazzy, but It'd be quite expensive to retrofit too I'm thinking. Besides, no-one usually sits in the back on my motor, it's only cos I like to have lots of toys in it. :)

Didn't think it was ever a UK option in the UK?

Was optional on FL L&K models im fairly sure.

Yeah, that seems to be what I found out. Definitely not on the pre-fl, but after the change, yes.

Had them on my pre fl (my 2007) as an option. Dont remember what they cost.

They were an option on the 2008 pre-fl l&k, I wanted them...but my wife said that she can live without ;)) (we haven't had the kid back then...). Guess who stays now in the back seats with the kid and made me buy a heat& massage cover for that back seat :)) . Now I'm looking for some retrofits for the back seats...

Not in the UK they weren't cos I specced mine with every option except TPM and Columbus.

Likewise, the European spec models were able to get a deadlock that was built on to the gearstick with a little keyhole barrel that took the ignition key so you couldn't move the gearstick once primed and I tried tooth & nail to get this fitted to mine without success. Whether they were pawning me off, I don't know although I suspect they were after extensive chasing, but Skoda CZ said it couldn't be fitted to a right hand drive car, although I have no idea why not as surely the gearstick/box mechanism has to be the same regardless of which side the drivers seat is on?! Looked like a fantastic idea to have a physical, mechanical device to stop your car being nicked: small & inobtrusive to the owner, but a visual deterrent that would be a pain to the casual thief cos the workings were hidden away making it difficult to cut in two like a steering wheel lock.

Gutted. :(
