speakers for mk1 octavia vrs

Featured Replies

hi, just found my octavia vrs has had its speakers replaced by previous owner. it has alpine type E speakers up front with alpine tweeters and hifonics zeus speakers in the rear all running off oem headunit. are these speakers anygood? or can anyone suggest better speakers especially for the rear, i would prefere not to go down the amp root though.

they are better than the stock one thats for sure..

+1 The standard head unit is pretty pants too, I found a massive improvement by just running the standard speakers with a new head unit.

have a look at hertz for some good speakers which will run well off the headunit.

The alpine type-e's are £30 a set and basicaly designed to be "something to chuck in".

It would also help if you look at deadening or a wave diffuser behind the mid in the door

Even just another H/U from the VW range sounds better. (Have gone from Stream MP3 to Bolero to RCD310DAB). The Stream / Stream MP3 is truely awful.

Agreed, I fitted an MFD1 before my current stereo and even that was a vast improvement over the symphony HU

Sent from my non fruit based product

Thats a new one on me, any good ??

How does it fit, sticky backing or just chuck it behind the door speaker ???

Sticky backing. It helps with the rear waves from the speaker and makes a huge difference
