What is wrong with some on here? I think we all understand taxation and how it works. What we don't like is the fact that not enough of the taxes we pay (council, vat, income, corporation, fuel, etc..) is spent maintaining the roads.

"Honestly I sometimes wonder how many people realise what tax is for." Indeed, part of it is to maintain our road infrastructure! "Not a difficult concept to understand I would have thought."
