Bushes?

Featured Replies

Ok, I am after some sensible recommendations for bushes for my Golf V6 4 Motion.

I will be replacing the steering rack on Saturday and want to replace the rack bush, subframe mounts, dog bone and wish bones, I am leaving the ARB until I get an uprated one.

So I am looking at Powerflex standard and black, I am also looking at Polybush (they don't do a dog bone bush though) and or anything else you can throw in the mix. Superpro are also in now.

If you could recommend what bushes and why, I would be very grateful. Thanks

It would seem we have no bush experts on Briskoda, not even a sponsor to recommend anything.

I have decided on Powerflex and will be collecting them at Demon Tweeks tomorrow.

Try searching in the mk1 octavia section.

Loads of stories about how bad powerflex are.

They may have improved lately ....possibly

Thanks David, I will go and look. I was told powerflex are ok by gti forum types, as the V6 4 Motion is a heavy lump I want it to be sorted properly and not have to do the job twice.

I've done it numerous times lol

I'm actually running TT solid wishbone rears as I'm too scared to try any more polys after so much hassle, I got the powerflex fronts which have lasted years but funnily enough I was told today the passenger is on its way out.

I was thinking OEM bushes off an R32 or TT, I always use TT wishbone bushes in all the old Golfs, I was only going polybush or powerflex as I was told this is progress lol.

might just be emperors new clothes...

Non-voided OEM bushes would sit between standard ones and poly ones.

No idea which ones fit your car though, but I'm getting VAG ones fitted to my Octavia (same platform) next week.
