As per the title really. I am in the process of changing my clutch cable and would like to ensure I have it routed and mounted correctly. Its a 1300cc from 1995.

Also, any tips on how to heck to get a retaining clip back on to the pedal?

I read that if you tie a length of cotton to the lock washer with the other end round your finger or a part of the car then it is easier to find as it flies off when you are trying to refit it. Your trained monkey will thank you.

You can't route it wrong unless you have too much force, imagination or ambition. You can post a photo of your installation.

I've seen a few routed wrongly, too close to the exhaust so that the inner cable eventually seizes due to the heat. Then again I've probably seen more right hand drive Felicias than you.

Which could be my problem. Sometimes when I stop the car and come back to it the clutch has stiffened when I restart it. Never happens when the car is running, just if I stop and turn it off when it's fully warm. I'm interested to see the correct routing just in case though it looked fine at the clutch lever end when compared to some photos Adurer posted in response to that query.

yeh those little spring clips on the pedal are a pain up the hoop to get on sometimes. I would have said the routing of the cable was fairly self explanatory tbh, it's a little bit more complicated than our friends over there with the lefties because our clutch cable has to pass behind the engine so you have to be a little bit careful that it doesn't touch on the exhaust.

on the 1300 cc model the clutch cable should have a corrugated heat shield over the cable outer part too, apart from the clutdh cable is the same as the other rhd models, same length etc.
