I live between Gloucester and Ross-on-wye so i'll probably M50 it to Tewkesbury follow Pasty's advice.  Will wait somewhere off J9 where I can see you coming.  What time you expect to be getting to tewks?

i doubt it will affect us as we are leaving early but apparently theres miles n miles of roadworks by michaelwood

I would hope we'll be off at junction 9 and heading east by 7.20 ish, 7.25.  There's loads of places to wait in the "villagey" area just off J9.  I remember a fairly big BP garage off to the right of the road, but lots of pull-ins on the left too.

Just to confirm is m woods postcode GL11 6DD?

Google maps has it a little way from the services, but it's essentially the first services about 12 miles after you join M5 north after the M4 junction.
