  • I'm interested to know why you think a hybrid is more drivable than the Darkside budget kit? I found very little difference going from the standard turbo to the GTB1756. I can cruise along quite hap

I wouldn't trust cheap to be honest. The "norm" for a relatively standard fabia vRS with a PD150 hybrid is a realistic 220bhp. A few other mods and you could push for 230. That's about the cap.

Yes it is still running WMI JoshH

Clicked over 39k the other day Darren, whats yours at these days?

On 33k now, mileage building up a bit now the weather is better, any excuse for a drive really !!!

Gosh, when it hits 163,000 then we'll discuss reliability ;)

My August 2006 car is just up for it's 170,000 mile service and it's still on the original clutch, so I think we can say it's been properly reliable. Yes, it had the brakes swapped for 312mm at 60,000 miles and then 330mm at 120,000 miles, and I'm on my second set of Eibachs and FSDs but I think if you service them, they should last a long time.

I still say that if your 6 year old car (and it's got to be at least 6 years old) has only done 30-40,000 miles (5-6,000 miles per year) then you don't really know if it's reliable or not.
