Castle Combe Track Day - Monday 8th July - Open Pit

Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone would be up for attending a full open pit track day at Castle Combe on Monday 8th July?

I have 3 places left from the 10 I provisionally booked with a price of £155 for the day (little bit of a reduction from the normal price of £169) . Starts at 8.30am and ends at 5.30pm with a 1hr shutdown for lunch.

The day is run by BHP Trackdays and all information can be seen here - http://www.bhptrackdays.co.uk/event/2013-07-08/castle-combe-cc-summer-special.html

Payment is direct with the track day company but using my provisional booking to get the discount to £155.

So... anyone interested?

No interest for this?

I would have been up for it, but I don't have a gearbox at the moment, and doesn't look like it's going to get sorted anytime soon :(

Interested, but just too busy on weekdays at the moment.

I booked into the last one and had to cancel.

Cost me the £169, seems daft to do the same again.

Definitely, don't want to be throwing another load of money down the drain!

Ive only done it on this particular weekday as its my birthday so couldn't think of a better way to spend it than giving the car a thrashing round combe :p

Hope you get it sorted soon mate :)

Have a look at this link - https://docs.google....NG5fcm5Pc01UMUk

That is the entry list for the day - all my provisional places are at the top. So if I fill all 10 of my spaces, there will be 22 cars attending at the moment.

However, there is a maximum of 60 cars for the day (which it doesn't look like it will reach at the moment!) with max 20 cars on track per session (so a hell of a lot less than a public combe day!) - so that means you shouldn't wait any longer than half hour to get back out on track....

Better let my brakes bed in a bit more. I would usually be interested as that's cheaper than the last time I booked on at CC (and had to sell on my place due to car issues)

Nice work selling it on. :)

I had a few "oh, I know someone" offers that as usual were full of bull and Pistonheads took my post down as they claimed it was advertising.

So I just couldn't be bothered in the end, more important things to do.

It is a special day they do at Combe where the track day company has more cars than usual (60 rather that 36) and lets more cars on track per session (max 20 rather than max 12) hence the price drops from their normal £199 to £169. Im guessing they think they can bagsy on the weather being good (!)

Then I managed to get a bit more discount on that as long as I got 5 cars minimum then I can go to a maximum of 10 cars at the £155 reduced rate :)

If they are not full by a week or so before I reckon I could still get places at the cheaper rate so just let me know if you want to come at short notice

What an awesome day that was yesterday! Hope you enjoyed yourself aswell JoshH!

I completed about 120 miles of Combe yesterday using a tank and a half of super unleaded.. the professional tuition was definitely worth it aswell!

Kind of makes me not want to go on track on Action Days realising how unruly they actually are! Everyone yesterday has respect for everyone else out on track..

There is always my "no-one else involved" sessions in September!
