The newer one is a bit better looking, but yes they are ugly.

To be honest, grafting the front end of a 911 onto a higher riding 4x4 is never going to be easy...

Pretty much.

But like a lot of car makers these days they understand that the badge sells the vehicle, even if you can't justify the price hike over it's more humble sister vehicle.

It never ceases to amaze.

A lot of the Porsche fans were horrified, but the Cayenne went on to become their best selling model (mostly in markets with questionable taste IMO) and earned them an absolute fortune.

He's got plenty of money but loves a deal.

I actually like Tuaregs, especially V10 Diesel equipped ones with torque limiting preventing otherwise very stiff chassis from twisting into a precel

They don't do the V10 any more :(

I've seen a heavily modified Cayenne a couple of times near me, lowered, huge body kit and 22" alloys. Hate to think the cost for replacing 4 tyres. Instead of P O R S C H E stamped on the back it has:

ps, don't get me wrong, I like Porsches, but not distastefully modified ones.

they ain't the best looking car, but there is something about them that i like. I drove my friends 06 GTS last week (the twin turbo jobbie) with around 520ish brake, its fast, damn fast, especially when put into tiptronic mode rather than auto.

What amazed me was how much like a sports car it drove, it didn't roll or wallow (has electronic suspension), even in comfort mode it was good.

Its brakes were good (they are huge) but, you need to work them to stop the 2 1/2 tonnes of car. You have to give it to porsche, the chassis is great.

Still if it was my money i would be buying the touraeg also, i quite like the one in repo men...
