Prob been covered millions but I'm buying coilies and been told I need to replace the drop links to mondeo ones or something...the guy I'm buying em off never changed his is it just if ur gunna go über low or is it best off to do it anyways?

The thing that isn't mentioned a million times is that it depends on the make of coil overs.

What are you buying?

Theres no dissadvantages of getting shorter mondeo links even if the coilovers dont need them..

They are also cheaper than longer (standard) drop links + 9 times out of 10 you will need new links because of the age of mk1 fabias.. the bolt will probably spin as you try to remove the old links to fit the coilover struts + that will damage the ball joint on the link.

So worth replacing when fitting coilovers like for like or mondeo.. doesnt really matter if your not going low.. the mondeo ones are only £10 ill get the link..

If your buying the JOM coilover kit you are going to need the shorter links if your going low, other coilover kits have the brackets in the correct place to use standard as far as I am aware

I got Jom drop links to go with my Jom coilovers

FYI my mondeo ones are dead in less than a year, but they were not OEM.

If I had to do it again, i'd steer well clear of JOM. They really are cheap for a reason.

They used to make my dogs boke everywhere... IT made the firm ride even less enjoyable.

Was nice when you got out and seen how it sat though.
