Rear seat (interior) differences between VRS and non VRS

Featured Replies

This may seem stupid, but here goes. I own a mk 1 VRS, and have two kids ( one at five, one at 10 months). Currently both fit fine in the back. I have a 3rd baby on the way, so will have to fit 3 in the back using one infant carrier, one forward facing seat, and a booster seat. They dont fit really well in the VRS - the design of the seats mean both seats are in the light areas, and there is not enough room for the booster seat in the middle.

Is the standard, basic, poverty spec Octavia rear seat of a flatter design? I think all 3 will fit if the seat is flatter. If not, any suggestions, or anone want to swap a VRS for something practical?

What about rear seats from a Mk IV Golf? Straight swap IIRC. (A4/ PQ34 platform)

I hadnt considered the Golf seats - basically I want a cheap rear bench that is as flat as possible to put the 3 kids seats on. Any suggestions welcome.

if you were closer to me, we could have swapped seats!

3 kids + bench seat = just use some scaffolding planks
