Anyone know if a golf engine pd130 is the same as my asz vrs engine?

I only need the cylinder head since I can't get mine skimmed.

The asz engine was fitted to the golf, if all were fitted with it or if they put a newer one in later I don't know.

The polo GT one is identical not sure about the golf. I think the boost pipes ect differ. I imagine the head would be the same.

The earlier ones are ASZ, same as the Fabia.

The cylinder head is the same across all the 1.9 pd's.

vw bora also have asz 1.9 tdi lumps in same as fabia

I've been offerd a full engine for £100 that's all, only code on the engine is E8998, which means nothing.

Might be an option for me using that cylinder head instead of skimming mine.

The whole lump fits in the fabia + is exactly same as the ASZ fabia vrs engine except the oil filter housing and cooler

I fitted an ASZ engine out of a bora (same as golf) to mine using my oil filter housing/ cooler from the ATD (pd100) engine that the car came with

As said above the head will be interchangeable if u wanted to keep your block

I'm just playing with ideas for now, just trying to work out what's best if the head gaskets knackerd on mine.
