  • I read that and thought you were going to say OAPs. Mind you, maybe it's the same thing...

  • Like Chris_1d, I think it's not bad in yellow or white. Sat in a MG6 and thought it was awful, but the Magnette with its proper boot and proportions was a much better car. That should have been the to

  • Longbridge admittedly hasnt been the best of plants, but they did produce some good cars. These MG knock offs are not one of them, and make Longbridge look even worse than they were.   Supposedly de

The MG6 depreciation is epic. 2012 models with less than 20k on for under £7k!!

Time to bag a bargain then.

Hopefully the mg3 doesn't suffer panel gap issues like the 6 did/does.

Are the parts still made in China and shipped over to put together?

MG FTW!

That is all.  :bandit:

Bump

Just to add my thoughts on the mg3

After sitting in one I was pleasently surprised

Not the best interior ever but there's a lot of kit for the money.my main worry is that's a lot of things that could go wrong if not screwed together properly

Didn't drive it but I have heard it's the cars weak point which is a shame.not fast enough either for a bona fide vrs replacement

Told the salesman this to which he said a quicker version may be in the pipeline so you never know

I'd say the emissions are it's weak point for the majority of customers.

People buying a small hatchback expect it to be in the £30, £20 or even better £0 tax band and this missed the 119g cut off my some way.

MG are also releasing an electric car however it's range cannot compete with any of the big league

With washing machine motors, I guess.

Supposedly there's a new 1.0 turbo unit co-developed with GM on its way for the 3, might make a big difference to the car. Probably the price too but we'll see.

A bit like some Skoda Dealers that sit with the likes of Registered or Unregistered Mk2 Fabia vRS Hatches or Estates at £18,000 - £19,000 plus.

while others have the same which are advertised at £14,500 and that is just the 'Asking Price' as advertised.

So a lower percentage discount than you can get on a lot of Audis?

Besides the point Dr.   a new car package of this size for only £8k.  is half the price of similarly specced cars in this segment.

For most Mr. & Mrs. Joe Bloggs  who keep their cars a number of years depreciation is of no consequence to them.

Just look at the dazzling white paintwork, it's the new Black don't you know.

without looking at the spec too much, if your the type of person who buys a car based solely on price - ie cheapest is best - and change it every 1-2yrs before things really start to fall apart, this is the kinda thing that looks would sell, to that bracket of the market.

Pity its got an MG badge on it though - seriously the wrong the direction for that marque IMO.

If it said Perodua / Kia / Proton / Nissan on the back, it wouldn't look out of place.

I would agree with you there, the MG badge is totally wrong.
