Will 18" Neptune wheel with 225/40/18 tyre fit in spare wheel well

Featured Replies

To save me taking off one of the wheels to try, will the 18" Neptune wheel with 225/40/18 tyre fit in the spare wheel well and still leave a flat floor? I've got the standard arrangement not the variable floor.

I'm going to be driving quite a bit in Germany in the future and the thought of being on the Autobahn with a puncture and driving even a 100 miles on a 50mph spare is frightening.

The wheel will fit but the brolly won't

Had tried the search function but couldn't find a definite answer, for some reason it didn't bring up the post with the picture. Thanks for the info, I now know what I have to do.

Fitted the new spare wheel in the car yesterday...no problems. Feel happier now with a proper spare and a 2000 mile drive to Germany looming.

Couldn't believe how heavy it was at 23kg, I thought alloy wheels were supposed to save weight. The existing 16" steel spare with 205/55/16 tyre only weighed 18kg.
