Today I shall mostly be driving.................

.......a Jaguar XF Sport.

Was my Dad's 70th yesterday and as he's worked in the motor industry for the past 40 odd years, we're going round the Jaguar Factory in Castle Bromwich. What better way to get there than in a Jaguar!!

Will be an interesting comparison against my Superb too.

Hope you all had a good day :)

Problem with modern Jags is they are Fords lol.

Oh and happy birthday to your Dad :)

Thanks Ade

Was a good day - picked up the XF from local dealer in the morning, had a couple of jobs to do first before I picked Dad up. Then went over to Birmingham and headed for Gate 1 at the Castle Bromwich factory where the Jaguar Visitor Centre is located:

With the exception of the F-Type they had the range in the centre - XF, XF Sportbrake, XJ LWB and XK-RS.

Tour started with a short video presentation on the history of Jaguar etc before we were bus'd over to the XK / F-Type line for the tour. This follows the cars round the line from Body in White (excluding the paint shop), build, interior fit, engine / suspension fit, and final build/test.

The factory is currently producing 7 F-Type's to every XK built and the waiting list is 6 months for an F-Type at present.

Any videos?

Afraid not Jabo - had to physically switch phones off before entering factory and photography was banned.

I was suspecting so but I thought I'd ask anyways :) Glad you had a good day !
