Brake pad / disc rip-off?

Featured Replies

Better Pads before better discs everytime.

Graham Goode Racing used to have a great Cossie as a demo car for the press to test their tuning packages. Some even commented on how good the new brake upgrade package was.. until GGR told them it was standard set-up just with some hotter pads.

Discs are just big lumps of metal, on a road car the quality of that metal doesn't matter too much, pad material matters more for stopping distances.

Ressurecting this old post to say that almost everything car wise is cheaper in Glasgow than anywhere in Scotia 99% of the time. Even just south of wall can prove better coming over. But whenit comes to Shoda dealers, time and time again they're sounding like fraud dealers which is just ****e.  I will agree with allpoints made with the various reasons but I will also say that anyone with only a reasonable budget but is wanting a level of upgrade. Then, yes flat discs, Mintex, Pagid etc with Green Stuff EBC Pads all round and you will notice the difference big time without big bucks and your rear pads will last so much longer. No more...you must change all four at the same time pish...

Learn and Enjoy.
