My Track Day MPG

Featured Replies

Just calculated my track day "Actual" MPG - I am a bit sad like that.

Normally get 43 mpg

Blyton Park Track Day MPG 18 MPG !!!

****ing diesels!

I am actually concerned about fuel once we get the V6 out on track, I know the maxidot will quite readily display 8mpg when driven briskly on the road.

I have however remedied this issue by changing the maxidot to oil temp and not looking at mpg....

Not trying i got mine down to 7mpg at mallory in a 20 minute track session

I get 17 mpg at the nurburgring @9 mins dead a lap. Pd130 with 205bhp.

I got 11.1 mpg at castle coombe (fabia Ii petrol vRS) I was happy enough it was in double figures! lol..

My mate had a Mazda mps and he managed 6 mpg around Angelsey circuit while I managed my usual 17 mpg and I was on his ass all the way !

My Fabia with over 250hp averages about 16-17mpg. I normally trip it when i leave home and after a 60-70 mile return journey and 80 or so laps on track the Fabia is always in the md to high 20s.

In comparison my Octavia averaged single figures on track everytime

I care not about economy :D All I know is its not thirsty, and that does me!

The only time ive been irratated with fuel economy is with a friend in his Octy vRS TDI at the ring. I was refueling every 10 laps, he was doing about 18 between fill ups. His was sloooooooooow though lol

Trying to make it for my Channel Tunnel Crossing coming back from the Nurburgring yesterday I got 33mpg - but no oil used, sucess!!!.

The race car was doing 40ltr/100km (7mpg) from 2ltr NA restricted four pot on the GP track. Came second in class :)

HowFast? at Bedford in my vRS, including 100miles return trip showed up 18mpg  - my average mpg over 7k miles took a massive nose dive lol.
