SCOUT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Featured Replies

I have just had 4 new tyres fitted so I had the 4 wheel alignment checked. This was the first time this has been done since I bought the car from new. Not surprisingly it was out, not by miles, but enough to warrant adjustment. In the process it was discovered that the offside rear toe adjustment was already at the maximum of it's range of adjustment. The car is standard suspension and I haven't had a bump.

Has anyone come across this either on a Scout or any other Octavia? Secondly any ideas as to how this could come about on a "from new" car?

Thanks.

Cheers silver 1011. This thread doesn't specifically mention my problem. Although adjustment was necessary I didn't encounter any of the bad ride/steering related issues alluded to. There was just slight excessive wear on the inside of one of the rear tyres.
