if its red wrap the fog light surrounds too and your on to a winner

Sounds like a quite tasteful colour match to me, and the beauty is that 1) it protects the original paint, and 2) if the next owner in the future doesn't like it, he can peel it off to reveal pristine paintwork!

just remember you can go too far with wrapping ....... wrapping the whole car matt red and matt black is too far lol
