what oil? 1.8t 108k?

Featured Replies

I dont think my motor has had a service in over 2 years from what i have found out, oil is black and watery not good! whats is the best oil for the 1.8t? also do you think its worth taken the sump off any cleaning it? thanks

yes change oil

replace with a vw spec one - either vw502 or vw504

no point in dropping sump unless you are going to change the oil pickup pipe

I'd recommend that you buy yourself an oil pick up pipe and o ring and drop the sump and change it. Go to skoda, it should cost under £30 for 5 litres of oil and a oil filter

is ths skoda oil same as vw oil then? i guess oem oil is the best option? also where cann i get oil pick up pipe?

you can take yours off and clean it

You can get everything from your local skoda, vw, seat or audi dealer plus if there's one near you tps.

My local dealer has always been good to me, giving a Briskoda discount. Think it's under a tenner for for the pick up pipe, won mine on eBay for £3 as the seller couldn't spell lol

yeah, replace the pick-up pipe and It'll be the job done then and it'll give you peace of mind!
