Estate Folding Passenger Seat?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Looking to get a hold of a new estate, one of the things that caught my eye was the folding passenger seat but it's missing from the configurator. Spoke to skoda UK today and they said Octavia won't have that option! Considering half the reviews I've read mention it I'm aure that's not right!

Don't suppose anybody knows any more about this, and when it's likely to be available?

Not sure why the UK wouldn't have it as an option.

What I do know is that the folding front seat is not available at all with the leather or part leather seats.

It's down on the Skoda UK website, and says available June 2013, but can't find the option in the brochure.

I can also see heated rear seats on that, but you can't get them here :)

Shame, as its a really nice feature that would have been handy when I was buying new doors. Though, they did just fit with the seat fully forward.

It's definitely available on the online configurators from Slovenia, Germany, Romania, where I've checked. But since you guys in the UK seem to get preferential treatment (not in a good way), you might be out of this one too!

This may be the same with the heated rear seats situation.

In Norway the list of extra equipment states that the folding front seat cannot be in full leather or alcantara and cannot be electrically operated. I am guessing that the option is available on part leather seats or cloth seats that are manually adjusted.

May be similar to ACC and Front Assist and it won't be available straight off.

On the website it says available from June:

Checked with the dealer today regarding the folding front seat option. Its only available with cloth seats and no other type of seats. But I was also surprised to know that one can get electrically operated cloth seats.

So they consider that if you have leather you should not transport huge objects in order not to deteriorate the leather....

A Romanian dealer told me that the option would also be available with the sport seat option, which kinda shows how uninformed and useless they are (pretty much what they were already known for). :)

So how is it in the end? Sports and textile?

I think its only textile. The price list I have says folding front passenger seat is not available on sports seats.

annoying - my cars being built this week.  Would have gone for this option had I seen it in the configurator - just noticed on the skoda website!

Guess it will cost a fortune to retrofit it...

My 4x4 is also being built this week and it should have it, asked the dealer to add it late last year when it  popped up on the ByO. Notice though you can only get the option on the SE trim.
