Head light bulbs

Featured Replies

Has anyone used Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs?

the H4 Halogen ones for the standard headlight setup?

just wondering as they claim to be brighter and whiter than the standard H4,

which tbh are pretty poor on the dip beam.

opinions?

Nope,

I fitted Philips Ex-treme H4 h/light bulbs and observed noticeable improvement in colour and brightness, anything else must be an improvement on crap standard bulbs.

I'm using Philips X-treme Vision and they are brilliant,

im going make one of those brain fart kinda statements now..

i presume that all H4 bulbs are the same socket size?

as in Part number - 12342-XVS2 H4

is the correct Philips X-Treme for the Standard Mk 1 Octy headlamp?

H4 is a specification. Same socket, size, base, basic design, etc. The only thing that can vary is the wattage, and in some cases, construction. But they are all interchangeable.

Any ideas on best price for an online buy for a pair?

I keep finding the best delivered prices on ebay for bulbs.

So.. i caved. I've gone with the Osram Night Breakers... free delivery, and 30% cheaper than the Philips.

I will report in on them, give a verdict over the next few months.
