OK - downloaded OBD Guage (free) onto my Garmin iQue. Looks pretty comprehensive, and should be interesting to see it running inside the car.

Now I need some cables - As far as I can understand, I need a Hotsync to Serial cable, then a Serial to OBDII connector. Some setups show a box between the two, but I can't find what it does or why it is needed.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've had an Ipaq working with the HotSync cable and an Elm interface.

Stu - can you remember where you got it from. Found loads of places that seem to do them, but the prices vary so much I wonder excatly what they are supplying for the money.

There was a post about it a while ago.

I have -

a Serial Sync Cable http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58544&item=5212757744&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

a Null Modem http://www.expansys.com.au/product.asp?code=3011213

Mine's not a cable though this might do -

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41995&item=6780976009&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

and I used to have an ELM based interface which used with it.

The ELM came from http://www.digimoto.com/ they sell on Ebay
