Delivery times

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have ordered a new Octávia 2.0 TDI Elegance on the 5th of June, and i would like to know, how long did it take from the order to the D day, the day when you receive the car.

I know that in August, there aren't new cars being produced, they are closed, i'm pretty worried if the car takes too long to arrive in my own hands...

Thanks

Check with dealer if there are any Stock Vehicles that match your specs.

Did you spec it up??

I ordered a 1.6 elegance dsg last Monday, and I have done just under 50 miles in it, as I picked it up yesterday from the dealer!

They are closing the factory for 2 weeks not a month. mine is ordered the 5th of june like yours and mine is getting build in week 30 and hopefully delivered 3 week after in week 33.

Mine is not a standard Elegance, it haves 5.000 euros on extra equipment.

The dealer tells me that they put the order in the national importer here in Portugal to be built in week 28, but they haven't received a confirmation or another built date from the factory.

3 weeks between built date and delivery date?]

3 weeks between built date and delivery date?]

Yep 3 weeks is what my dealer has told me to expect.

I ordered my car on 22nd May and i was advised by Skoda UK that my car build week is 26 which is this week. Just got a call from dealer that it been delayed to next week :wall: .

Don't know the reason but advised me that he thinks that by mid week of July i should have my car delivered to me. Now i think that is too Optimistic . Service from my dealer was not great all false promises. Not a happy customer me. :whew:

I order mine (a spec'ed up Elegence Estate) on 22nd May as well(week 21), told that delivery would be 10-11 weeks, so end of July. Found out last week that I have a provisional build week of 36, so will not see it until October.

Not a happy motorist

This might not interest so many here since it applies to Sweden but I haven't even got any delivery date, not even a preliminary build date, and I ordered my Octavia on 14th May!

The dealer claims that Skoda is changing "software" (or "computers" or whatever he said) and that no build dates are provided in advance... (Well, if so, that does not seem to apply

to you guys...)

So, I wonder when it will show up... It's almost like being a kid again, waiting for Christmas... Having no car at all for the moment doesn't make waiting easier... :smirk:

I ordered mine (Elegance 2LTDi Candy White after initially choosing Pacific Blue) on April 27, it was built in week 23 and is being delivered tomorrow June 27th, so 2 months.

Went to see it yesterday and it's looking great, no chrome window trims though, which some were saying may be standard from week 23.

You could have a crap dealer like mine where he doesn't phone you to say when it's being built then doesn't say it's on it's way and when it get's delivered he also doesn't phone you. Thankfully I am picking it up Saturday though I had to phone him to find that out, though he was meant to phone me back today to say what time Saturday but didn't so I'm just going to turn up Saturday when I feel like it to pick it up, I could care less if he isn't prepared my car my money and then I will probably complain to SUK for the awful service.

Same here but I am calling my dealer on a daily basis. He is for sure fed up with me but it's my deal and I want to be sure it will be ok

Ring Skoda Sweden directly. They should be able to give you some information.

I had to ring Skoda UK directly to get information about my order as my dealer wasn't helpful.

I thought I was living in a crappy country hence the poor services. Here if you want to buy something., anything, you have to be your own dealer. I did not expect this to happen in the nordic countries or in the UK. Sadly this is happening in all countries and depends on the dealer's hunger the day you step into the shop.

Yeah that's right. After test drive before i placed the order the sales person has called me at least 6 times in two days if i am interested, since i placed order they promise to call me back but never,i had to call them back to find-out whats happening. Finally i gave-up and spoke with Skoda UK, who were really good and also apologized for inconvenience caused by dealer.

To be fare to him (my dealer), he has talked with Skoda Sweden himself and they don't know anyting either... Someone said that the order system is down at the factory, and someone said

that due to the flooding they can't get all parts and are stuck. (I just had him on the phone.)

I definitely don't blame my dealer in this case, but I would think that Skoda Sweden should be able to get an offcial reply from the factory and not just "rumours"... After all, it's 2014 for crying out loud...

We do have have phones here up in the north... even internet. It can't be rocket science to find out what's going on with the production...? Make a phone call, drop an e-mail... Right now waiting

for delivery in Sweden is like being inside a black box, or moved back in time to 1814... (Perhaps they could send a letter... *haha*)

I think I'll go and bug Skoda Sweden now with some phone calls and e-mails... It's simply not possible that they can't know??

If anyone else reading this have the same problem, advice is appreciated... (Wish I knew how to speak Czech... ;-))

back to the future.... OMG it's only 2013.... well, that explains!! ;-)

I love Skoda, wish their dealers had the same passion, I will always choose a Skoda regardless of the poor service, guess it's the price you pay ha ha

Ordered mine early March, delivery is due mid July (16 weeks?)

:@

but........

Had A LOT of extras on so not a standard build

So it took exactly 7 weeks for me from the moment of order till the moment of actualy driving it (delivery times for Romania).

Just spoke with Skoda UK and they advised me that my car was built last week and waiting at factory to be transported to Emden. Don't know why my dealer advised me that it will be built this week when its already been built. Do' t know who to believe.

Any Briskodans with Similar build week ?

The dealers always guess, bit rubbish really

Ordered mine couple of weeks ago expect Sept delivery....added some goodies, but that's OK it will be a 63 plate as opposed to a 13 so fine by me.

After a long haggling process ordered my first ever Skoda (Octavia Mk III Estate) on Saturday from local dealer.  The other half is a bit of an arty type and he wanted the chrome window surrounds.  The booklet we had (UK 04/13) has it as an option for GBP 150, Against my better judgement we added it on.  Was quoted "Mid sept" for delivery, MOT's up on current car ebd of september so dealer promised a loan one if delivery was delayed...

Today I got a phone call from the dealer,  can't get the chrome window surrounds any more, no idea why (perhaps he should read this forum  ) the new booklet (06/13) no longer has it as an option.  I'm happy as it saves me 150 quid, curious now what this means for delivery times, the only other option was the variable boot floor which I guess just gets dropped in at the last minute?
