At least you have or getting it soon

I ordered on April 6th and now being told build week 37 !!!!! But not confirmed its getting to me now I mean really !!!

All I want is to be kept informed of the status of the car, and if there are delays, to be told about the reasons and to be given real honest dates and times for everything.

It is one thing to be confirmed for delivery in July and then delayed without explanation and another thing to be told from start that is going to be a delay, why and when you will get the car.

Skoda uk today told me "don't know why"

Dealer is absolutely useless !

I ordered a Skoda Octavia 105 Hp TDI in June.  First I cut away the ACC to get the car sooner, and today the dealer called and asked if I also want to cut the panoramic roof or else I might not get it this year....  There is no explanation except that they have problems delivering the sun roof.

Really unprofessional, and I am now feeling I should have bought another brand. 

Mmm not good ,I would go elsewhere .

I know delays can happen but it's the way the dealer and skoda Handle it ,

I know more from this forum than they appear to!!!

Not right in my book

I ordered my VRS on the 26th July with numerous options and I have been told today that the build week is 41 which is the week beginning 7th Ocober. I can't wait!

VRS ordered on 20th July and expected build week is 37. Cant come soon enough!!!!!

I've been told by SUK that vRS hatches will not hit UK shores till Jan 2014. Why did they build the estate model first??

I wouldn't rush in to ordering one just yet.

I ordered my vrs estate on 27th July, today I was given a build date of week 40. The dealer told me that most of the cars are usually built 2 weeks early unless there is a lot of optional extras added on. Here's hoping and waiting.........

I ordered July 28 and was told 6 months delivery on January 28. 6 months. That is kind of:

 

It is nothing out of the ordinary. A Octavia Combi (Estate). 1.4 TSI Ambition with a Ambition Plus-package and Platin Grey steel-color.

 

This is my first new car so I'm excited and will just live through it, but 6 months?! Oh boy!

ordered my vrs around 23rd july and got my build estimate of week 36 today so should be here earlier than i originally thought

Mine has come forward to week 39

In total, for me it was 9 and a half weeks from the day I've placed the order till collection.

Strange, platin grey color is no more after week 37. Which means build week 37 or prior or no build unless you change your color.

Delivery times in the Netherlands are also stupid, ordered begin of June and initial build date was week 32. This is already changed to week 42. I only ordered a standard NL elegance businessline with an additional wiper at the back (hatchback)

The NL version does not have leather seats, but standard xenon, cornering function, columbus navi, canton, chrome window, color maxidot, park assist, 17" terons.. This is a standard Elegance Businessline in the Netherlands.

50% of all order consist of this model (mostly car leasing), shouldn't be problem i guess?

But why delaying all these model with 10 weeks (2.5 months), and first estimate build dates are about 8 weeks.

My dealer is running a fairly small shop and said that he is crazy buzy with all those Octavia orders comming in, so maybe he simply doesn't have had the time to follow the latest news from Skoda! :think:

 

I will definitely come with an update here if I'm out of luck, but the papers state "Metallak 13 Platin" so we will see what they come up with!

Went to dealers yesterday to give them px,all went well have a little fabia to run round in till car comes

I have a confirmed build week 38 so delivery 2nd week October dont fall over lol

Feel better now its confirmed phew !

I think 6 mths is a little long but hope its worth the wait !!!

Phone call from my dealer this morning, still no good news. Even though the factory has been back for over a week, no order status have been updated.

He's asked SUK retail support to contact the factory directly, but no promise of when that will be.

 

Not 6 months yet only 13 weeks, but still no light at the end of the tunnel. :(

Had a chat with my local dealer (in Denmark) today as it is 1½ month since I placed the order. He could still not access the system at the factory to see what my expected delivery would be.

Ok, not to his advantage but I work in supply chain my self and is just wondering: Today + (number of orders before mine) * (average build time per car) = expected date ?

Not that hard to calculate...

 

Anyway, he said they were doing a major rebuild on the factory in August thus next to no cars are comming off the lines. Anyone can confirm this ?

Secondly, rumors were Denmark only recieving 90 more cars this year and they had to be split between the dealers, but how does that relate to my "unique" build he could not say ?

Signed the final order papers today at my dealer, Ordered May 4. and promised build week 34 (next week) and delivery probably week 37-38.

Getting closer  and closer now.. :) 

Mine is apparently being built right now for delivery early September. Can't wait! (ordered end of April)

When your dealer gets access to the system and gives you the expected delivery date, could you please post about it? I will wait to bug my dealer in Denmark to after that. 6 months just sounds a bit crazy, you know. :wonder:

I'll keep you posted. He mentioned that due to the huge succes in Denmark, orders picked up now might face ~9 months delivery time

That is just insane! What city is your dealer in?

Just to rup your faces in it. Just Got a Call today that my car is being made start next week, and delivered within max 4 weeks.
