Superglue on badges?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Ordered some plastidip for my grill today - thought I would give debadging the back a pop! Fishing wire and a good old sawing motion saw them come off fairly easy - but they have left some mad marks.

The adhesive isnt a problem and has wiped off easy - but there is large glue blobs on each letter of "OCTAVIA" and two blobs on the "TDI" badge.

How can I remove this? I was thinking super glue remover but want a heads up on how to do it safely?

P.S - does anyone know if anyone on here still does badges? :)

ORDERED MY BRISKODA STUFF TODAY TOO :)

I did my badges today. I just used white spirit to remove the residue left over.

White spirit here too when I did mine a few weeks ago

Bbq lighter fluid is a good cheap version of 'sticky stuff remover'

*I have never had an issue but please test it on a discrete area first!

Phil

I used Methelated Spirit for this.

blimey, do girls now chase your cars Mike?

I am sure this would be hilarius!

Old age makes life difficult. If you have taken the badges off successfully , why are you now concerned with glue marks on the badges? And where has this glue suddenly appeared from?

Ah 'from' not 'on'. Thanks for the reply to an old man..

Post some pics please?

P.S - does anyone know if anyone on here still does badges? :)

I know of someone.
