Baker21's Superb 'End of an Era Detail'

Featured Replies

Well the car went yesterday and I managed to get a small detail completed on the Saturday ready for the new owner.

Nothing major in terms of the detail but it goes to show that after having prepped all the surfaces previously maintaining the paintwork, wheels, is a very quick and easy process.

Now I can't post all the images I would like on this forum so I have only put up some afters:

I have owned the Superb for nearly 8 years, completed around 160k and I can safely say it's been a pleasure, it will be missed but it has been sold to a fellow detailer so it should continue to get some TLC.

What car have you got now Simon?

Shocking - truly shocking.............

that you'd allow a car to go out with the lower plastic trim on the front bumper hanging off!!!

(unless of course it should be like that?)

Cracking results as always :happy::rofl:

Looks great..the new owner should be very happy

It's a great shame that this Forum discourages detailing details

As an enthusiast myself , I have been frustrated at the mistrust that administrators and moderators display towards me and others

I post my detailing regularly...not for business, but for information to others on what products to use and how to use them for various cleaning and detailing tasks...apparently, showing off your detailing skills is not wanted in this Forum!,

I was, however, fortunate to be able to offer a limited service, as you know, for World Challenge. Thanks for that..I made funds for my students to go to Malaysia in two weeks time...BUT

This has now ended and subsequent threads showing my detailing of family and friends cars is met with suspicion....in short, they think I'm a Pro..lol...I'm a semi retired PE teacher!!

Good luck with the Merc Simon..it's a class motor and keep showing off your skills...we all benefit from them mate

I understand your frustration with the forum but I do feel that as they set the ground rules for one then this must be applied for others.

The forum is the place that suffers in the end and it is a shame but it's fine with me as I don't have as much time nowadays as I used too.

The best thing you can do is utilise DW but I think you may well be in a similar scenerio over there, maybe it's worth thinking about my approach on that forum ;)

Thanks for your kind words and all the best for the future :)

The bumper on the Superb is curved in the centre and the Leon Cupra R Splitter has been chopped and curved to suit, it's certainly not handing off ;)

Your approach in DW is....?
