Nissan 200sx S14a Touring Auto - 1998 - Flame Red - SOLD

Featured Replies

Very reluctant sale of my Nissan 200sx S14a Touring Auto. The car has been my daily driver since 2001 so it really is a wrench to part with it, but I have needed something more practical for a while (more space for the Grandkids !)
I bought Hofmiester's Octavia VRS back in April and I don't have the space (or funds) for both cars.

The car is practically standard apart from RX8 wheels with spacers, and replacement stereo. I still have the original stereo and standard wheels which will go with the car.
I have been let down once in 12 years when the fuel pump went, and apart from that it has been totally reliable.
I am a 'mature' driver, and the car has never been thrashed, drifted or generally ragged about
Mileage is around 98000, though speedo currently shows around 59000, as speedo was replaced before I bought the car. This was documented in the service book by the dealer.
There is a near full service history from new, including MOT certificates from 2001 and all receipts and original Nissan service wallet and books / leaflets.

VVT sprocket replaced with new item about 2 years ago. 2 new tyres about 4 months ago. Manifold gasket replaced earlier this year along with back exhaust box.
Set of fobs including master.
Engine pulls like a train and gearbox as smooth as new.

Bad Points.

Trying to be as honest as possible.

The laquer on the boot lid and spoiler has blown. This has only happened during the last winter otherwise I would have had it sorted. (see photos).
Bit of rust under the rear valance both sides of the boot.
Slight bubble of surface rust on o/s rear wheelarch and o/s front wheelarch
Tiny dent on o/s front wing which has been there since I bought the car which I inexplicably have never had repaired :/

Tax February 2014
MOT July 2014

Just a bit of friendly advice ;) If it were me selling,I'd put a full ticket on this.

Would be easier to sell with a 13month MOT rather than a 1-2 month MOT.

Yeah I know mate, thought about that as I filled in the ad. Been up for sale on SXOC for a while with no interest (probably because its an auto and most of the regulars prefer manuals) and possibly because of the short MOT. I'm just trying not to spend any more on it as it's costing me £75 a month insurance and I'm not really driving it :( !

MOT isn't a problem - it sails through every year, I will probably take your advice :)

cheers

So simple to convert to a manual two.

Miss my old sx

Id love one of these , always liked them but far too expensive for me at the mo , what bhp do they have ?

200hp but soo easy to get power from you can take one to around 300hp for not alot of money :)

I had a 99T touring running 342Bhp, was a hoot to drive, fantastic car and do miss it loads.

Did drive a friends auto once in standard form and I was pleasently suprised to be honest, very nippy!

I may invest as a weekend toy one day!

Free bump!
