Fabia VRS SE BLUE poorly

Featured Replies

Oh well it had to happen some time, great car

Yesterday temperature alarm came on, checked header tank, Level well below MIN

Topped up fluid to MAX drove two miles, alarm on, Header tank below MIN

I took her to my specialist and gloom Radiator is rusted like a sieve, so much in fact you can poke your finger through it

Not road chips as I retired last year and she is only used on slow trips to the shops once a week :-(

(Which brings me on to INSURANCE ROBBERS, Advised reduced annual mileage from 25k to 3k, Insurance increased 20% as only leisure driving now not commuting ??? Apparently it is more of a risk driving in the afternoon for an hour than commuting in heavy traffic daily for three hours at peak times ??)

Pick her up in the morning with new Rad fitted, (£237 radiator, fluid and labour + VAT)

Having said all this only problem I have had since new is the header tank sensor, going faulty, new header tank £10, everything else OK Touch wood

National

I'd try change insurance companies if I were you or try do more miles in it to save money because of the daylight/ legal robbery conducted by insurance companies.
