Hi.

I'm used to driving cars with no ABS still and having to manage any skids the manual way.

Couple of cars had to do a emergency stop with me in the fabia so slammed the brakes on and everything was ok until the wheels slipped.

I then released the brakes slightly automatically without thinking and tried to reapply. When trying to reapply the brakes I had what felt like 50% braking power and almost coasted into the back of the car in front.

Coming home I had no one behind me and tried the brakes again leaving the ABS to do the work and all was ok.

Could this be a glitch in the computer that if you release the brake after wheel slip it has a moment?

Brake fade from the standard pads after slamming on hard, then once cooked down they were fine again.
