Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi,

Forgive my lack of knowledge on this particular subject but i just have a quick question regarding the above.

DPF light came on the other day after 96k of trouble free driving.  i do 60 miles a day motorway everyday so dpf clogging has never been an issue neither have i ever until now seen the dpf light.  After the light came on it went off again within the same 30 mile burn down the motorway.  Now i have the engine warning light on.  no real loss or difference in performance.  I quickly scanned the ecu for codes with my cheapo scanner and get the error code relating to the gas pressure sensor.

Now i was thinking about finally getting the dpf removed and having the car mapped at amd as its near my office.  Will i be wasting my money getting this fixed beforehand or will it/won't it be needed after the dpf removal?

basically i don't want to waste money on something that may not be needed and the cash used to get rid of the dpf altogether.  Doesn't the gas pressure sensor just tell the car when the dpf needs a regen?

Thanks in advance, sorry for the wordy question .
