Clutch problem -advice needed

Featured Replies

Hi there. My 2007 VRS PD drives fine but I have just experienced a clutch problem. Holding the clutch down in gear for a few seconds, the clutch started to engage and stalled the engine. The fluid level looks OK which makes me think it's the master cylinder.

Any thoughts or advice before I replace it?

Slave cylinder I'd imagine mate.

Slave cylinder I'd imagine mate.

But surely if it's the slave, the fluid will be leaking out?

Its known as clutch creep. Basically its losing pressure slowly and engaging so its leaking from somewhere whether you can see a leak or not.

I'd second the slave cylinder.

There's a few cases I've heard on here where the car moves with the clutch down. They always seem to be slave cylinder issues.
