Well it was monsoon weather this evening

Initial reports would rate wet weather handling as average!

They seem to me very comparable to a dry weather tyre, strikingly similar to toyo t1r's, awesome dry grip and average wet grip! They certainly wont kill you thats for sure but i think their limit is a 200bhp 300lb/ft car, wouldn't want them on anything more powerfull in the wet

But for the price they aint bad!

There now discontinued new spec is maz4 there quieter with better all round grip in my opinion but ymmv

No they are still on maxxis website

The maz4 is more of a general allround tyre by looking on the site, the maz1 is down as the performance one and has a more aggressive tread

yeah the maz4 is a more all rounder can also be used in winter , an all year round tyre, the Z1 is designed for hot summer days, almost as a track tyre, they make a track tyre but in really limited sizes, dont know why they make track motorcycle tyres!

/\ cause ppl put motorcycles on track?

Mate mate uses metzeler ones though, his bike is a track only bike he competes in the north west sound of thunder (1000cc+)

Disappointed as I've bought 3 sets of these and was just looking to buy another set of 205/45 16 fitted for £70 each for my new Fabia.

Think it was the noise that killed them off, but I can't say I ever noticed. Just glad I got my last set for my Clio 172 Cup in the nick of time (June).

Maxxis are very underrated in my experience.

Z1's are available everywhere :)
