and yes it has to be DMF as mine is the 1.9tdi 4x4...........unless someone now knows different(sure I read a thread about a golf vr6 kit but cant find it again) as its seems the SMF are not compatable with the 6 speed box. Tried searching but it all turns to SMF prices for the obvious reason. will pass this info onto my garage then in the hope of getting the bill down before booking in

Only info I have is, upon purchase of my octavia estate 1.9 105, due to a rattle, the garage agreed to fit a dmf (without clutch, or them realising the cost - agreed it in writing) but I insisted the job was completed at a skoda  garage for the warranty. I paid the difference. All fine two & half years later. Clock garage, Spondon. Derby. Make sure, whoever does it that they replace the dmf using new bolts.
