Vat free deal

Featured Replies

Anyone know if there will be a vat free deal or any other kind if offer coming up in the next few months.

I got my mk2 Octavia cat free and now have about 10k for a deposit on a mk3 but want to get the best I can. Any suggestions

Unikely in my opinion.

The VAT free deal was always on specific models and was a bit confusing with clauses on various spec levels.

Skoda are now doing an across the range 0% finance.

That will run for three months at least.

You are more likely to see set price reductions on old model cars as they run out.

Like the current deal on the Fabia Monte Carlo Tech.

I guess you can only sell cars for 20% less for so long before trading standards start to wonder if the quoted list prices are not actually the list price. :)

So instead of getting 20% off you'll have to be good at haggling with a dealer. :D

Practice makes perfect I find.

Drive the deal is a good starting place to open the haggling process.

They are showing a nice discount already on the new models. It will depend on the price to change but the free servicing and 0% finance is an added bonus.

I was thinking about a second hand A6 Avant for a change but will probably stick with either the Octavia or Superb estate depending on the deal. Three years warranty , 0% and service appeals to me.

Don't worry, I've found it for you! ;)

In elegance obviously, btw hard to tell but does the elegance come with leather seats, and daylight running lights

It will be interesting to see what sort of deals people can muster.

For me its all about minimal downpayment and sensible monthly cost; if they can work the PCP finance deals sensibly so that the GFVs are stronger, no huge downpayments required for 0% or horrendous monthly costs (i.e similar outlay to my previous purchase give or take a bit) I wouldnt necessarily be so bothered about getting a 20% discount on the list price (probably wouldnt give it in those circumstances either).

I think im either going to be pleasantky surprised by the deal or think its carp and probably not buy another Skoda, its anyones guess right now.

That said if I were buying one traditionally id be gunning for at very least 10% off list.

You need to start at 12% plus finance incentives

Might get away with that on an Elegance though suspect the vRS will be in higher demand and not attract such a discount.

The OP wants an Eleg but yes I suspect the 12% deals will not filter down to vRS for a while.

Where does this 12% number come from, any advice on best approach

I used carfile.net to get a quote and Hortons in Lincoln price matched plus threw in front flaps and full tank of fuel plus the £500 deposit contribution and free servicing took the deal to over 16%. That was with no trade in. Drive the deal also offer similar discounts but they include the finance in their offers so check the small print. There are also posts on here about taking the finance and withdrawing within 14 days if you have cheaper funds from elsewhere, and you keep the deposit and servicing.
