Engine dies after cold start (morning)

Featured Replies

I'm having a new failure on my car.In the morning I start the engine and it dies imediatly, just can't stay at idle.

Second or third time starts and runs fine.

Any ideas?

I'll start by replacing the fuel pump relay(409).

Coolant temp sensor failure causing ECU to fuel incorrectly.

I was thinking at the temp sensor too.

If it is the CTS failing replace with a genuine VAG part only. So many people buy a cheap aftermarket CTS, have problems & then end up having to buy a VAG part. There's no better example of "buy cheap buy twice".

You got vagcom???

You can see the temp in real time rather than what the dash says.

My friend has VCDS but is a bit far from me.So next step ,CTS.

I have tons of spare parts from cars like Golf4,Leon1,Octavia1....etc
