And the car had a full two and a half day detail session.. First thing , the wheels came off.. Cleaned with angelwax revelation, then sealed with slickrims and waxed with AMDetails high temp wheel wax.. While the wheels were off the coilovers were cleaned and adjusted and the calipers got a repaint..

 

Glass was then cleaned with Angelwax Glasscleaner and H2GO water repellent applied..

 

Then the paintwork was sprayed with revelation, washed with AMD Bubbles, clayed, Glazed, sealed and finally waxed again with AMD's wax..

 

And the zorst tip got a quick polish too..

 

So que many lovely pictures of shiny car in 3.. 2.. 1..

 

 

A couple of the repainted calipers.. Started raining just after I painted them so some of the paint ran..  But still quite happy with the result..

What did you do for puddle lights? Im thinking of drilling the mirror case and fitting them to that, car looks amazingly shiney. Mine wasnt too bad till i went my mates tonight and now it looks like ive been rallying haha

You get abit less buffeting from the wind when you drive with the windows down.. But mainly when its raining you can put the window down a wee bit to stop it fogging up without getting rain in..

I stuck a LED strip on the bottom of the door card drilled a hole into the card and linked it into the wires for the red lights in the door.. I'll take a picture later to show it better..

Somethings missing here.. Any guesses..?

Headlights

Yup, got abit bored with the flyeyes on the front, so headlights came off, broke out the heatgun an got to splitting the headlights..

 

Fly eyes cam off.. Lenses desperately needing a clean..

Primed and sprayed matt black..

 

Headlights in.. And I can now see at night again..

 

On another note a collegue of mine has recently sold his TT and was looking to sell the wheels, so I came home from work with these...

 

 

 

Can't go on yet as the tyres are the wrong size and are also at the legal limit.. But planning a trial fit at the weekend and some new tryes asap..

Right back from my month in the states time to start on the car again..

 

Wheels were dropped of a week ago for a new set of Michelin PS3's

 

 

Cleaned them up and gave them a coat of AMD wheel wax.. Only then noticed that a spigot ring was missing and the others were pretty shot so, ordered some new ones which arrived yesterday..

 

Not 100% sold on the gloss black.. But the laquor is peeling off one of them anyway so Ill hopefully get them refurbed next month possibly a colour change too..

 

 

 

Fitted this afternoon.. Hopefully I'll give the car a clean tomorrow and get some pictures then since we had sandstorms up here today...

Still needing a clean after the birdturd blitz this morning but.. New wheels...
