Hi guys..

Been about the forums a few months now, found It very useful and particularly enjoyed scouring through the project blogs.. So I decided to share mine with you all..

Bought the car about 11 months ago 54k on the clock and completely standard. Ran well, feels solid and on the whole very happy with It, first proper car I've ever owned.. Anyway this Is how It looked..

Suspension In full off-road setting here obviously..

Not much to report from the first few months other than a k&n filter and a PD160 intake, which I was pleasantly surprised with as I didn't think It would make any difference and it actually did..

Still a fair way of where the cars at presently, but I'm planning on bringing this up to date and adding bits as they happen..

So after a few months of ownership the low rpm "engine hesitation" was driving me Insane, It felt like the engine was having a fit. So I swapped the original 25mm egr gasket for a 9mm one. A full egr delete Is planned, but a remap Is a long way off and I'd rather not have to pay off a garage to pass an MOT. Plus as it stands the 9mm gasket was a massive improvement..

Round about the same time decided to get rid of the horrendous chrome grill surround. As the grill had some damage, it gave me an excuse to get a whole new one. This was promptly sprayed matt black..

Looks great Johnno, I see you're also rocking the range rover stance like me!

Where did you get your spacers from?

Cheers mate.. range rover stance will be getting sorted out..

Spacers from DPM performance. FK's, came with correct length bolts too.. Good site, I've bought quite a few bits from them..

Update: Popped down to a Seat dealer and got myself an LCR splitter, seems Seat makes more money selling these than they do selling cars..

Bit of cutting and measuring later splitter Is fastened on using as many screws as I could muster..

New update: Several trips up the A9 In bad weather was taking its toll on the matt painted grill surround. After respraying it once already, finally decided to find another way of dealing with stone chips. So managed to get my hands on some carbon vinyl wrap, and set to work..

I've got my vents and gear surround done the same as you, makes a big difference to the interior. How easy was the grill to do? Never tried wrapping but want to do my grill

Grill wasn't too bad to wrap, the splitter was the most difficult by far. If your gonna give it a go I'd advise a heatgun If you don't already have one, makes it much easier to do the fiddly corner bits. And be sure to get plenty of spare wrap, I ended up redoing a few bits..

Finally got the coilovers fitted.. Took the best part of two days, much learning and much beer..

Originally tried hammering the old struts out from underneath, then realized that this method was much quicker and easier..
