vrs boost feels strange

Featured Replies

Hi guys, is it normal for a mk1 vrs to feel like its coming on boost then letting off for a sec then boosting strong again then letting off for a sec again? Mine does this 3-4 times through the rev range. I find it irritating as I'v had a couple of turbo cars previously and they have never done this.

Surge at its finest

Or a faulty maf, mine does it.

Maf unplugged it doesn't do it, so new maf once I can afford it.

What is likely to be the problem cntuning? A lad i know said he was having similar sort of thing happening with his mk4 golf with the auq lump and he said that since removing all the pcv stuff (I think thats what he said it was called) and fitting a oil catch can its loads better. it used to slightly do it before the remap but since getting the remap its exaggerated it loads!

I'll give that a go tomorrow mluton.

Cheers for the replys guys.
