identify injectors

Featured Replies

i have feeling the injectors in my car[99 red i octavia est] could be from a 90 hp car .

engine was swapped before we got it 3yrs ago, didnt bother me before as i used to rarely drive it .

i had another red i before this and it had more poke in it .

im thinking they may not have swapped the injectors over .

anyway i can tell if 90hp injectors are fitted ?

thanks

i totally misread you r post there..

im sure a part number will tell you what injectors you have.

did you replace a 90bhp engine with a 110 engine?

engine was swapped before we got it ,and i know the man the sold the replacement engine to the previous owner ,he said he is fairly sure it was a 90 hp car it came from .

its just not a pokey as the last one we had ,now my wife has a new car im driving the octavia alot and im just curious were the injectors ever swapped over .

i know its a bit long winded   but i wouldnt mind squeezing a bit more out of it if the rest of the car is set up to be a red i

Check the injector pt. no.s, and the engine stamps, for the type.just to be sure its definitely a 110 bhp set up.

then come back on here if it all checks out as correct.

it might just be down on power needing a turbo cleaning. or it might just need new injectors...

turbo was cleaned last year .ill check inj numbers .which engine stamps would be needed ?as the sticker on the timing belt cover is gone

on the engine block, under the cylinder head, it should be stamped onto a nice flat piece.

just to check the engine type - AGR/ALH or AHF/ ASV

ill check it out and report back

..just double checked the logbook and it should have an ahf engine fitted

from the Skoda workshop manuals

Engine number     The engine number (“engine code” and “serial number”) is located at the front at the joint separating engine/gearbox. In addition, a sticker with the "engine identification characters" and "serial number" is affixed to the timing belt guard. The engine identification characters are also indicated on the vehicle data sticker.   octavia-mk1-3543.png

Hopefully you can find it, might to do some cleaning...
