If I decated the vrs

Featured Replies

As it says if I de catted the vrs and no silencers would it fail the mot? If not anyone know any really good places for exhaust on the cheep damn part time hours!!!

red and green deffo be seen ;)

apparently no cat is needed as they only do a smoke test on diesels not emissions. But I've heard some people have failed due to a cat not being visually seen.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no cat is needed. Good job since that's another kitten dead

Depends on mot tester

New rules dictated no emmisions hardware to be removed (includes egr valve)

But only on PETROL cars!!!!!

But only on PETROL cars!!!!!

The phrasing VOSA use is "cars requiring a FULL EMISSIONS TEST"

Which is Petrol only.

Diesels have a "smoke (soot) test" they DON'T have an Emmisions test ;)

The joys of a diesel car!!!! Even if a car had a dpf and that was removed it would pass?

I'm pretty sure a car MUST have a cat fitted to pass its MOT if it was fitted with one from factory.
I'm also pretty sure if you decat it, it'll fail on smoke and emissions anyway lol.

No and no. FML

Also, might be worth a mention.

It also passed with a 2.5k rev limiter lol. Confused the tester at first but was cool once he knew what it was ;)
